After I installed the K-Lite Codec pack, I sometimes get this Avi Chunk Viewer window at the most annoying times possible. It seems this is caused by a codec called Avi splitter. It pops up when there is an avi found with an incomplete footer.
To remove the Avi Chunk Viewer, do the following:
1. Start the K-Lite Codec Tweak Tool, located in the K-Lite\Configuration start-menu.
2. Go to the Disable part, and select Avi Splitter.
That's it. Although you might have to reboot your computer.
Various types or viruses lurk around the start menu. Some even disable you from functioning the links at these menus. Clicking on My Computer might not open and so forth.
A tool checks the registry and deletes various virus files associated from the registry as well as the locations. Hooking them up with CCleaner can help knowing their start up states.

Many of us don't know that we can retrict number of users sharing taking files from the folders that we share in XP. We think that its an advance feature added up in windows vista. But this is not true. You can go to the folder options and uncheck the the recommended checkbox of basic sharing in the view tab to see this advance sharing option in windows XP as well. Soetimes it happens that the windows explorer does not work to open up as we reboot windows. Then we require to run task manager and open it manually. This can be due any of the viruses that affects th eregistry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
To remove it, go to the registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon through regedit.
In the right pane, modify the value:
"Shell"="explorer.exe some_process.exe"
to:
"Shell"="explorer.exe"
This will end up the problem.
Not getting time to write though having lots of plans, like the google master plan as they release their chrome. Will do that some day. Meanwhile a little tweak, I don't know why I did not know of it.
To add an application to run at system startup. Goto the start>Programs>startup and open it as a browser by right click. Just paste a shortcut of the application you wish to be at start up there nad that is it. ?Have fun....
You can use a batch file at start up and thus you can have a proper automation of youre PC start up. Say open browser with the favourite website. Use command line options at the batch file or maybe directly in your start up and you are through.
I deally I will not recommend you making too much of this. You might end up slowing the PC performance at startup.
You can always remove a program from the start up by deleting simply the shortcut. Though some programs need the msconfig to be run to be removed. start>run>msconfig

After the dinner break, the finals of the intra college event start at 9:30 PM. The finalists should be present in the labs latest by 9:15 PM after which the new entrants will be rejected.
